Lafayette coach Allison Denton started the following lineup: 6-0 Sr. Sarah Cooley, 5-11 Jr. Dee Givens ,6-4 Jr. Ashanti Thomas, 5-7 Sr. Megumi Nagahiro, and 5-8 Sr. Ken’yale Demus.  Boyle County coach Greg Edwards countered with 5-8 Sr. Devin Conley, 5-7 Sr. Lauren Richards, 5-10 Jr. Kalin Bottoms, 5-7 So. Marlee Smith, and 5-7 Sr. Dee Foster.

Boyle County led 43-35 at halftime but Lafayette outscored the Rebels 15-4 in the third quarter on their way to a hard earned 68-64 victory.  Lafayette shot 40.4% from the field including four of 13 from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on 18 of 27 free throws, pulled down 50 rebounds, and scored eight points off 10 Boyle County turnovers.  Lafayette held a 21-4 advantage on second effort points.  Boyle County shot 35.7% from the field including four of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Rebels connected on 30 of 36 free throws, pulled down 15 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 21 Lafayette turnovers.

5-11 Fr. Kiara Pankins led Lafayette with 22 points and seven rebounds.  Ashanti Thomas added 14 points and 15 rebounds.  Dee Givens chipped in with 11 points, six rebounds, and four assists.  Sarah Cooley recorded 10 points and 13 rebounds.

Marlee Smith led Boyle County with 21 points.  Devin Conley added 17 points.  Dee Foster also reached double figures with 14 points.
