West Jessamine coach Damon Kelley started the following lineup: 6-4 Jr. Brooks Ely, 6-3 Sr. Daulton Peters, 6-5 Jr. Dalton Crouse, 5-10 Sr. Lane Brooks, and 6-0 Sr. Will Henderson. Southwestern coach Steve Wright countered with 6-5 Sr. Justin Edwards, 6-3 8th grader Danny Butt, 6-4 Jr. Dylan Gaskin, 5-8 Jr. Adam Isaacs, and 6-2 8th grader Steven Fitzgerald.
Will Henderson hit a three point basket with 1.4 seconds on the clock to give West Jessamine a 58-55 come-from-behind victory over Southwestern. Southwestern led 45-30 in the third quarter but West Jessamine battled back for the victory. West Jessamine shot 41.8% from the field including five of 17 from the three point line. The Colts connected on seven of 10 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored eight points off six Southwestern turnovers. Southwestern shot 44% from the field including four of 17 from beyond the arc. The Warriors connected on seven of eight free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 13 points off nine West Jessamine turnovers.
Daulton Peters led West Jessamine with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Will Henderson added 16 points including three three point baskets and six assists.
Justin Edwards led Southwestern with 15 points and seven rebounds. Adam Isaacs also scored 15 points including three three point baskets and four assists. Danny Butt recorded 10 points and four assists.
