Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. DaiJia Ruffin, 5-6 Sr. Raven Merriweather, 5-11 So. Maggie Colley, 5-4 Jr. Ashley Johnson, and 5-4 Jr. Gretchen Samsel. Rogers coach Lamar Smith countered with 6-0 So. Akienrch Johnson, 5-9 Sr. Jasmyne Smith, 6-2 So. Sydney Petty, 5-2 Sr. Keyanna Austin, and 5-8 Sr. Sasha Dailey.
Rogers defeated Sacred Heart Academy by a score of 48-44 in a game that had 11 lead changes and 13 ties. The score was tied 36-36 at the end of three quarters and Rogers outscored Sacred Heart 12-8 in the final quarter to earn the victory. Rogers shot 38.5% from the field including zero of 10 from the three point line. The Lady Rams connected on eight of 17 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 20 Sacred Heart turnovers. Sacred Heart shot 36.4% from the field including five of 10 from beyond the arc. The Valkyries connected on seven of 13 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 12 Rogers turnovers.
Sasha Dailey led Rogers with 20 points, eight rebounds, and three steals. Keyanna Austin added 10 points. 6-2 So. Keasja Peace recorded nine points, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots.
DaiJia Ruffin led Sacred Heart Academy with 14 points and nine rebounds. Gretchen Samsel added 12 points and four three point baskets. Raven Merriweather recorded nine points, seven rebounds, three assists, and three steals.
