Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. DaiJia Ruffin, 5-6 Sr. Raven Merriweather, 5-11 So.Maggie Colley, 5-4 Jr. Ashley Johnson, and 5-4 Jr. Gretchen Samsel. Barron Collier coach Mike Hamburger countered with Sr. Elizah Pagkanlugan, Jr. Jakia Davis, Sr. Kacie Frost, Jr. Olivia Ferrucci, and Sr. Megan Langham.
Sacred Heart Academy defeated Barron Collier by a score of 56-49. Sacred Heart shot 52.3% from the field including three of eight from the three point line. The Valkyries connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored seven points off 21 Barron Collier turnovers. Barron Collier shot 36.5% from the field including six of 17 from beyond the arc. The Lady Cougars connected on only five of 15 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored five points off 19 Sacred Heart turnovers.
Raven Merriweather led Sacred Heart with 18 points and 10 rebounds. DaiJia Ruffin added 14 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and three steals.
Kacie Frost led Barron Collier with 16 points including three three point baskets. Olivia Ferrucci added eight points and seven rebounds. Elizah Pagkanlugan also scored eight points.
