Tates Creek coach Tina Winn started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. McKenna Cummins, 5-8 Jr. Myra Brown, 5-10 Jr. Haley Blackburn, 5-4 Fr. J’Lyn Martin, and 5-5 So. Shaytara Wilson.  Lexington Catholic coach Scott True countered with 5-8 Jr. Rachel Blake, 5-9 Jr. Caroline Lynch, 5-10 Sr. Hannah Gadberry, 5-5 Jr. Bailey Browning, and 5-5 Sr. Suzanne Miller.

Lexington Catholic raced out to a 22-2 first quarter lead on their way to a 53-23 victory over Tates Creek.  The Lexington Catholic starters only played 9:35-13:04 minutes in this game.  Lexington Catholic shot 78.9% from the field in the first half as they led 34-7 at the intermission.  Lexington Catholic shot 62.9% from the field including four of 12 from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on five of six free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 17 Tates Creek turnovers.  Tates Creek shot 21.6% from the field including one of five from beyond the arc.  The Lady Commodores connected on six of 12 free throws, pulled down 17 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 17 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

5-6 Jr. Tori Pippen led Lexington Catholic with 10 points including two three point baskets.  Caroline Lynch added nine points and six rebounds.  Hannah Gadberry also scored nine points on four of four from the field and one of one from the free throw line.  6-1 Fr. Mallie Cornett blocked six shots.

J’Lyn Martin led Tates Creek with seven points.  5-4 So. Tyanne Bentley added six points.
