Simon Kenton coach Jeff Stowers started the following lineup: 5-5 Sr. Christina Cook, 5-5 Sr. Sarah Tomlin, 6-0 Sr. Rachel Cox, 5-2 Sr. MaKenzie Hester, and 5-3 Sr. Abby Owings.  Dixie Heights coach Tara Smith countered with 5-10 Sr. Alexis Strong, 5-3 Sr. Samantha Koth, 6-3 Jr. Liza Tibbs, 5-2 Fr. Riley East, and 5-3 Fr. Kylie Brock.

Simon Kenton raced out to a 19-5 first quarter lead on their way to a 76-40 victory over Dixie Heights.  Simon Kenton shot 56.4% from the field including four of 10 from the three point line.  The Lady Pioneers connected on 10 of 16 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 38 points off 25 Dixie Heights turnovers.  Simon Kenton recorded 20 steals tonight.  Dixie Heights shot 35.5% from the field including four of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Colonels connected on 14 of 21 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored six points off 10 Simon Kenton turnovers.

Abby Owings led Simon Kenton with 12 points including two three point baskets.  5-8 Jr. Maggi Bosse also scored 12 points.  MaKenzie Hester added eight points and four rebounds.  Rachel Cox chipped in with six points and eight rebounds. Sarah Tomlin added eight points and six rebounds.  Christina Cook recorded five points, four assists, and six steals.

Liza Tibbs led Dixie Heights with 12 points and five rebounds.  Samantha Koth added eight points including two three point baskets.
