Lafayette coach Allison Denton started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Sarah Cooley, 5-11 Jr. Dee Givens, 6-4 Jr. Ashanti Thomas, 5-8 Sr. Ken’yale Demus, and 5-11 Fr. Kiara Pankins.  Lexington Catholic coach Scott True countered with 5-8 Jr. Rachel Blake, 5-9 Jr. Caroline Lynch, 5-10 Sr. Hannah Gadberry, 5-5 Jr. Bailey Browning, and 5-5 Sr. Suzanne Miller.

Lexington Catholic led 15-11 at halftime but Lafayette led by Dee Givens in the second half rallied for a 44-34 victory.  Lafayette shot 36.8% from the field including three of six from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on 13 of 23 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 12 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 26.3% from the field including four of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Knights connected on 10 of 12 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored four points off 10 Lafayette turnovers.

Ashanti Thomas led Lafayette with 17 points, 14 rebounds, and five blocked shots.  Dee Givens added 14 points including three three point baskets and five steals.  Kiara Pankins recorded seven points and six rebounds.

Rachel Blake led Lexington catholic with 10 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.  Bailey Browning also scored 10 points including two three point baskets and four assists.  Caroline Lynch pulled down nine rebounds.
