West Jessamine vs. Madison Central (Boys)

West Jessamine coach Damon Kelley started the following lineup: 6-4 Jr. Brooks Ely, 6-3 Sr. Daulton Peters, 6-5 Jr. Dalton Crouse, 5-10 Sr. Lane Brooks, and 6-0 Sr. Will Henderson.  Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus countered with 6-2 Jr. Isaiah Johnson, 6-2 So. Cameron Thomas, 6-3 Jr. Sam Jones, 5-5 Jr. Kirkland Humphrey, and 6-1 Sr. DeMarcus George.

Madison Central defeated West Jessamine by a score of 84-81 in a game that had 10 ties and 10 lead changes.  Madison Central raced out to a 17-3 lead but West Jessamine rallied to take a 63-58 lead after three quarters.  Madison Central outscored West Jessamine 26-18 in the final quarter to earn the victory.  Madison central shot 48.5% from the field including one of nine from the three point line.  The Indians connected on 19 of 26 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 15 West Jessamine turnovers.  West Jessamine shot 51.7% from the field including three of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Colts connected on 18 of 27 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored seven points off seven Madison central turnovers.

Sam Jones led a balanced Madison Central scoring attack with 20 points and 11 rebounds.  Cameron Thomas added 18 points, four rebounds, four assists, and four steals.  DeMarcus George chipped in with 14 points and five rebounds.  Isaiah Johnson and Kirkland Humphrey each scored 13 points.

Daulton Peters led West Jessamine with 38 points and 10 rebounds.  Brooks Ely added 13 points and 10 rebounds.  Will Henderson recorded 13 points and eight assists.  Dalton Crouse chipped in with seven points and nine rebounds.
