Mercer County coach Brian Britt started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Chris Crawley-Goodman, 6-1 Sr. Russell Sims, 6-4 So. Will Hager, 6-0 Jr. Austin Sparrow, and 6-0 Sr. Tommy Craig. West Jessamine coach Damon Kelley countered with 6-4 Jr. Brooks Ely, 6-3 Sr. Daulton Peters, 6-5 Jr. Dalton Crouse, 5-10 Sr. Lane Brooks, and 6-0 Sr. Will Henderson.
Mercer County led from beginning to end and captured a close 70-66 decision over West Jessamine. Mercer County shot 52.4% from the field including eight of 17 from the three point line. The Titans connected on 18 of 23 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored eight points off eight West Jessamine turnovers. West Jessamine shot 45.1% from the field including five of 10 from beyond the arc. The Colts connected on 15 of 23 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 13 Mercer County turnovers.
Russell Sims led Mercer County with 25 points including 12 of 14 free throws. Tommy Craig added 20 points including five three point baskets. Will Hager recorded 12 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists.
Will Henderson led West Jessamine with 18 points including three three point baskets. Brooks Ely added 14 points. Daulton Peters recorded 12 points and six rebounds. 6-3 So. Siah Holifield chipped in with 11 points.
