Lexington Catholic coach Scott True started the following lineup: 5-8 Jr. Rachel Blake, 5-9 Jr. Caroline Lynch, 5-10 Sr. Hannah Gadberry, 5-5 Jr. Bailey Browning, and 5-5 Sr. Suzanne Miller. Tates Creek coach Tina Winn countered with 5-10 Jr. Haley Blackburn, 5-5 So. Shaytara Wilson, 5-8 Jr. Myra Brown, 5-4 Fr. J’Lyn Martin, and 5-4 So. Tyanne Bentley.
Lexington Catholic led Tates Creek 36-10 at halftime on their way to a 56-30 victory. Lexington Catholic shot 47.6% from the field including three of 13 from the three point line. The Lady Knights connected on 13 of 27 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 28 Tates Creek turnovers. Tates Creek shot 31% from the field including one of seven from beyond the arc. The Lady Commodores connected on three of nine from the free throw line, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 18 Lexington Catholic turnovers.
Suzanne Miller led Lexington Catholic with 15 points and five steals. Rachel Blake also scored 15 points. 6-0 Fr. Mallie Cornett chipped in with eight points. 5-6 Jr. Tori Pippen recorded seven points, three rebounds, and two assists.
5-8 Sr. McKenna Cummins led Tates Creek with six points. J’Lyn Martin and 5-6 So. Kiauri Shannon added five points each.
