Lexington Catholic coach Scott True started the following lineup: 5-8 Jr. Rachel Blake, 5-9 Jr. Caroline Lynch, 5-10 Sr. Hannah Gadberry, 5-5 Jr. Bailey Browning, and 5-5 Sr. Suzanne Miller.  Madison Southern coach Summer Simmons countered with 5-11 So. Briana Lanham, 5-10 Jr. Kristen Hayes, 5-10 Jr. Rachel Ramsey, 5-4 Jr. Kelly Freeman, and 5-6 Jr. Samantha Parms.

Madison Southern raced out to a 27-5 in the second quarter and withstood a second half rally by Lexington Catholic to earn a 52-49 victory.  Madison Southern shot 42% from the field including seven of 24 from the three point line.  The Lady eagles connected on three of 10 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 15 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 32.7% from the field including nine of 31 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Knights connected on six of nine free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 18 Madison Southern turnovers.

Briana Lanham led Madison Southern with 15 points and 15 rebounds.  Samantha Parms added 13 points including three three point baskets.  Kristen Hayes recorded 11 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and three steals.

Suzanne Miller led Lexington Catholic with 13 points including three three point baskets.  Rachel Blake added 12 points, seven rebounds, and five steals.  Bailey Browning recorded 11 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, six assists, and three steals.  Caroline Lynch chipped in with eight points and six rebounds.
