Bryan Station coach Shawn Ransom started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Lakeysha Stennis, 5-9 So. Jamayah Fields, 5-10 Sr. Victoria McCoy, 5-5 Jr. Zaria Elery, and 5-9 So. Destiny Cozart.  Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 5-11 Jr. Dee Givens. 5-11 Fr. Kiara Pankins, 6-4 Jr. Ashanti Thomas, 5-7 Sr. Megumi Nagahiro, and 5-8 Sr. Ken’yale Demus.

Lafayette outscored Bryan Station 16-2 in the second quarter on their way to a 54-35 victory.  Lafayette shot 32.8% from the field including two of 17 from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on 14 of 20 free throws, pulled down 52 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 12 Bryan Station turnovers.  Lafayette held an 18-6 advantage in second effort points.  Bryan Station shot 24.5% from the field including four of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Defenders connected on seven of 11 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 10 Lafayette turnovers.

Ashanti Thomas led Lafayette with 14 points and 17 rebounds.  Dee Givens added 11 points, five rebounds, and three steals.  6-0 Sr. Sarah Cooley chipped in with 10 points.  Kiara Pankins recorded nine points and 11 rebounds.

Lakeysha Stennis led Bryan Station with 13 points and seven rebounds.  Destiny Cozart also scored 13 points and pulled down five rebounds.
