Woodford County coach Jay Lucas started the following lineup: 5-9 Jr. Chelsey Ford, 5-5 Sr. Shelby McDonald, 5-9 So. Caroline Mefford, 5-2 Sr. Emily Harlow, and 5-5 Jr. Anastayzia Reed. Henry Clay coach Eric Sanford countered with 5-9 Sr. Kamari Boyd, 5-9 Jr. Kerrigan Davis, 6-0 Jr. Hannah Young, 5-6 Jr. Nakyira Joyce, and 5-6 So. T’Laya Lyvers.
Henry Clay led 51-41 after three quarters and survived a fourth quarter rally by Woodford County to earn a 61-59 victory. Henry Clay shot 41.55 from the field including two of nine from the three point line. The Lady Blue Devils connected on 15 of 20 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 15 Woodford County turnovers. Woodford County shot 40.4% from the field including five of 18 from beyond the arc. The Lady Yellow Jackets connected on 16 of 23 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 16 Henry Clay turnovers.
T’Laya Lyvers led Henry Clay with 16 points, six rebounds, and three steals. Nakyira Joyce and Kerrigan Davis each recorded nine points. Hannah Young chipped in with six points and nine rebounds.
Shelby McDonald led Woodford County with 17 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Anastayzia Reed added 16 points and six rebounds. Chelsey Ford recorded 11 points and eight rebounds.
