Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. DaiJia Ruffin, 5-6 Sr. Raven Merriweather, 5-11 So. Maggie Colley, 5-4 Jr. Ashley Johnson, and 5-7 So. Meghan Colley.  (Note: 5-4 Jr. Gretchen Samsel was out with an injury tonight.)  Franklin County coach Joey Thacker countered with 5-8 So. Dasia Kilbourne, 5-8 Fr. Rebecca Cook, 5-9 So. Malaka Frank, 5-4 Sr. Nannilena White, and 5-6 Fr. Princess Stewart.

Franklin County defeated Sacred Heart Academy by a score of 60-54 in a game that had six lead changes and five ties.  Franklin County shot 33.9% from the field including two of eight from the three point line.  The Lady Flyers connected on 20 of 24 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 10 Sacred Heart turnovers.  Sacred Heart shot 36.2% from the field including four of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Valkyries connected on eight of 11 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored eight points off seven Franklin County turnovers.

Malaka Frank led Franklin County with 18 points and eight rebounds.  Nannilena White also scored 18 points including eight of 10 free throws, four rebounds, four assists, and three steals.  Dasia Kilbourne chipped in with eight points on eight of eight from the free throw line and six rebounds.  Princess Stewart recorded eight points and nine rebounds.

DaiJia Ruffin led Sacred Heart with 18 points, 15 rebounds, six assists, and four blocked shots.  Raven Merriweather added 11 points including three three point baskets and eight rebounds.  5-10 So. Lydia Taylor recorded 11 points, eight rebounds, and four blocked shots.
