Southwestern coach Stephen Butcher started the following lineup: 6-0 Jr. Dylana Fothergill, 5-11 So. Samantha Fitzgerald, 6-1 So. Elisabeth Latham, 5-6 Jr. Destiny Molden, and 5-9 Jr. Adison Corder. Mercy Academy coach Keith Baisch countered with 5-9 So. Erin Muthler, 5-9 Jr. Kathryn Gross, 6-0 Fr. Elizabeth Anderson, 5-3 So. Jess Laemmle, and 5-7 Jr. Hannah Bewley.
Mercy Academy defeated Southwestern by a score of 57-53. Mercy shot 43.1% from the field including six of 16 from the three point line. The Jaguars connected on 13 of 17 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored five points off 27 Southwestern turnovers. Southwestern shot 39.25 from the field including four of 14 from beyond the arc. The Lady Warriors connected on nine of 12 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored eight points off 23 Mercy turnovers.
Hannah Bewley led Mercy with 12 points, five assists, and five steals. Kathryn Gross added 11 points and six rebounds. 5-6 So. Madi Woods and Jess Laemmle each scored eight points.5-3 So. Maria Schmitz chipped in with seven points.
Destiny Molden led Southwestern with 12 points including two three point baskets. Samantha Fitzgerald added 11 points, seven rebounds, and three steals. Dylana Fothergill chipped in with nine points and six rebounds. Adison Corder also scored nine points. Elisabeth Latham recorded seven points, eight rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals.
