Russell County coach Scot MacAllister started the following lineup: 5-6 Sr. Danielle Walters, 5-6 Sr. Baylee Hadley, 5-9 7th grader Madelyn Preston, 5-5 Sr. Madison Loy, and 5-6 Fr. Kaitlyn Coffey. Allen County-Scottsville coach Brad Bonds countered with 5-8 So. Savannah Gregory, 5-7 Sr. Katie Young, 6-1 Jr. Holly Robinson, 5-7 So. Jordan Brooks, and 5-6 So. Kayla Hudson.
Allen County-Scottsville trailed 45-38 after three quarters but rallied for a 61-57 victory over Russell County. Allen County-Scottsville shot 40.8% from the field including two of six from the three point line. They connected on 19 of 37 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 18 Russell County turnovers. Russell County shot 42.6% from the field including two of seven from beyond the arc. They connected on nine of 15 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 17 Allen County-Scottsville turnovers. Russell County was plagued by foul woes as they lost three starters (Madison Loy, Baylee Hadley, and Madelyn Preston) to fouls.
Savannah Gregory led ACS with 32 points, 18 rebounds, and four steals. Jordan Brooks added 10 points, four rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
Kaitlyn Coffey led Russell County with 19 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists. Madison Loy added 12 points.
