Caverna coach Cornelius Faulkner started the following lineup: 5-8 So. Shanda Bradley, 5-8 Fr. Staysha Edwards, 5-9 So. Madison Faulkner, 5-7 Fr. Kiara Kirk, and 5-7 Jr. Ciara Waggoner.  Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 6-0 Sr. Sarah Cooley, 5-11 Jr. Dee Givens, 6-4 Jr. Ashanti Thomas, 5-8 Sr. Ken’yale Demus, and 5-11 Fr. Kiara Pankins.

Lafayette scored 25 points off 19 Caverna turnovers and attempted 24 more shots (59-35) from the field than the Lady Colonels in a 69-36 victory.  Lafayette shot 44.1% from the field including six of 22 from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on 11 of 18 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and held a 17-8 advantage in second effort points.  Caverna shot 28.6% from the field including two of seven from beyond the arc.  The Lady Colonels connected on 14 of 21 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and did not score off three Lafayette turnovers.

Ken’yale Demus led Lafayette with 20 points including four three point baskets.  Sarah Cooley added 17 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Dee Givens recorded 15 points, five assists, and five steals.

Madison Faulkner led Caverna with 17 points and eight rebounds.  Ciara Waggoner added eight points.  Kiara Kirk recorded six points and eight rebounds.
