Danville coach Judie Mason started the following lineup: 5-5 Jr. Cameron McPherson, 5-5 Sr. Essence Grey, 5-4 Jr. Ne Ne Chenault, 5-6 Sr. Laken Grey, and 5-4 Fr. Alyvia Walker.  Henry Clay coach Eric Sanford countered with 5-9 Jr. Kerrigan Davis, 5-6 Jr. Jazmine Richmond, 5-9 Sr. Kamari Boyd, 5-6 So. T’Laya Lyvers, and 5-6 Jr. Nakyira Joyce.

Henry Clay led 22-13 late in the second quarter and withstood a late Danville really to earn a 46-45 victory.  Henry Clay shot 23.7% from the field including zero of four from the three point line.  The Lady Blue Devils attempted 18 more shots (59-41) from the field than Danville.  They connected on 18 of 27 free throws, pulled down 46 rebounds, and scored seven points off 18 Danville turnovers.  Danville shot 31.7% from the field including two of nine from beyond the arc.  The Lady Admirals connected on 17 of 28 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 21 Henry Clay turnovers.

T’Laya Lyvers led Henry Clay with 11 points and eight rebounds.  5-10 Sr. Areanna Porter added eight points and nine rebounds.  5-6 Jr. Kennedy Coney chipped in with eight points, four rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Kamari Boyd pulled down 13 rebounds.

Essence Grey led Danville with 18 points, eight rebounds, and three steals.  Laken Grey added 11 points.  Ne Ne Chenault pulled down 11 rebounds.
