Madison Southern coach Shane Buttry started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Trevor Huff, 6-1 Sr. Devante Linville, 6-1 So. Stacy Burns, 5-9 Fr. Michael Jefferson, and 6-0 So. Tanner Kidwell. Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus countered with 6-1 Sr. DeMarcus George, 6-2 Jr. Isaiah Johnson, 6-4 Jr. Sam Jones, 5-10 Jr. Kirkland Humphrey, and 6-2 So. Cameron Thomas.
Madison Central defeated Madison Southern by a score of 89-65. Madison central shot 45.7% from the field including four of 14 from the three point line. The Indians connected on 21 of 31 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 16 Madison Southern turnovers. Madison Southern shot 32.8% from the field including four of 11 from beyond the arc. The Eagles connected on 23 of 38 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored two points off four Madison Central turnovers.
Cameron Thomas led Madison Central with 21 points, five rebounds, and six assists. Isaiah Johnson added 16 points, four blocked shots, and three steals. 6-0 So. Michael Clay chipped in with 12 points on six of six from the field. Kirkand Humphrey and 5-9 Sr. Coty Alexander each recorded nine points. Sam Jones recorded eight points and eight rebounds. DeMarcus George chipped in with seven points and 11 rebounds.
Devante Linville led Madison Southern with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Trevor Huff and 6-2 So. Andrew Miller each scored nine points. Tanner Kidwell recorded eight points, eight rebounds, and three assists.
