Lafayette coach Allison Denton started the following lineup: 6-0 Sr. Sarah Cooley, 5-11 Jr. Dee Givens, 6-4 Jr. Ashanti Thomas, 5-8 Sr. Ken’yale Demus, and 5-11 Fr. Kiara Pankins. Paul Laurence Dunbar coach Sarah Bridenbaugh countered with 5-10 Jr. Nicole Armstrong, 5-6 Jr. Kristina Rosen, 6-2 Sr. Brooke Todd, 5-4 So. Ezzy Ighodaro, and 5-4 Sr. ShaKeema Jackson.
Lafayette defeated Paul Laurence Dunbar by a score of 66-46. Lafayette shot 44.9% from the field including two of 12 from the three point line. The Lady Generals connected on 12 of 20 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 15 Paul Laurence Dunbar turnovers. Paul Laurence Dunbar shot 30.9% from the field including four of 18 from beyond the arc. The Lady Bulldogs connected on eight of 17 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 16 Lafayette turnovers.
Dee Givens led Lafayette with 28 points including two three point baskets, 11 rebounds, and seven steals. Kiara Pankins added 23 points including 11 of 12 free throws and eight rebounds.
Brooke Todd led Paul Laurence Dunbar with 18 points and 14 rebounds. Ezzy Ighodaro added 10 points and six rebounds. ShaKeema Jackson chipped in with 10 points and five rebounds.
