Jeffersontown vs. Mercy Academy

Jeffersontown coach Stephanie Doepke started the following lineup: 5-8 8th grader Keyona Dyson, 5-7 7th grader Kiara Pearl, 5-10 Sr. Kristen Martin, 5-6 8th grader Cierra Scott, and 5-6 Fr. Jessica Molestina.  Mercy Academy coach Keith Baisch countered with 5-9 Jr. Kathryn Gross, 5-8 So. Erin Muthler, 6-0 Jr. Malerie Martin, 5-3 So. Jess Laemmle, and 5-6 Jr. Hannah Bewley.

Mercy Academy led 32-6 at halftime on their way to a 60-34 victory over Jeffersontown.  Mercy shot 32.3% from the field including five of 18 from the three point line.  The Jaguars connected on 13 of 20 free throws, pulled down 46 rebounds, and scored six points off 30 Jeffersontown turnovers.  Jeffersontown shot 26.6% from the field including six of 18 from beyond the arc.  They connected on four of eight free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored five points off 17 Mercy Academy turnovers.

Jess Laemmle led Mercy Academy with 11 points and three steals.  Hannah Bewley also scored 11 points, pulled down four rebounds, and recorded four steals.  Kathryn Gross added 10 points and five rebounds. 

Keyona Dawson led Jeffersontown with 12 points and three steals.  Kiara Pearl added seven points and seven rebounds.  Kristen Martin recorded five points and five rebounds.
