Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III started the following lineup: 6-6 So. Ross Jenkins, 6-4 Sr. Lance Blakley, 6-9 Sr. Jackson Davis, 5-11 Sr. Dequise Robinson, and 5-11 So. Harrison Lane. Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown countered with 6-6 Sr. Jordan Green, 6-3 Jr. Jeremiah Tisdale, 6-3 Jr. Colby Barnes, 5-9 Sr. Campbell Setzer, and 5-10 Jr. Felix Wilson.
Henry Clay trailed 63-57 with 55 seconds remaining on the clock but rallied with Jordan Green connecting on two free throws with four seconds remaining on the clock to earn a 64-63 victory. There were nine lead changes and four ties in this game. Henry Clay shot 50% from the field including six of 12 from the three point line. The Blue Devils connected on 10 of 16 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 12 Lafayette turnovers. Lafayette shot 45.8% from the field including four of 11 from beyond the arc. The Generals connected on 15 of 22 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 11 Henry Clay turnovers.
Jordan Green led Henry Clay with 20 points, seven rebounds, and two blocked shots. Jeremiah Tisdale added 17 points and six rebounds. Campbell Setzer chipped in with 12 points including three three point baskets. Colby Barnes recorded 10 points and six rebounds.
Dequise Robinson led Lafayette with 13 points. Jackson Davis added 11 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocked shots. 6-1 Jr. Lucky Jackson chipped in with 10 points and four steals. Harrison Lane recorded nine points on three three point baskets. Lance Blakley added nine points, five rebounds, and three assists.
