Madison Southern coach Shane Buttry started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Devante Linville, 6-1 So. Stacy Burns, 6-2 Sr. Trevor Huff, 5-9 Fr. Michael Jefferson, and 6-0 So. Tanner Kidwell. Woodford County coach Scott Hundley countered with 6-2 Sr. Sawyer Scandore, 6-0 Sr. Samuel Souers, 6-3 Jr. Colton McCrady, 5-10 Sr. Grayson Graf, and 5-11 Sr. Eli Boggess.
Woodford County connected on 42 of 50 free throws in an 82-73 overtime victory over Madison Southern. There were seven lead changes and 14 ties in this game. Woodford County shot 455 from the field including four of 14 from the three point line. The Yellow Jackets connected on 42 of 50 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 14 points off nine Madison Southern turnovers. Madison Southern shot 39% from the field including five of 22 from beyond the arc. The Eagles connected on 22 of 28 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 11 Woodford County turnovers.
Eli Boggess led Woodford County with 43 points including 25 of 28 free throws and pulled down six rebounds. Samuel Souers added 16 points and Colton McCrady pulled down seven rebounds.
Trevor Huff led Madison Southern with 20 points. Stacy Burns added 16 points. Devante Linville recorded 12 points and nine rebounds. Tanner Kidwell also reached double figures with 10 points.
