Paul Laurence Dunbar coach Sarah Bridenbaugh started the following lineup: 5-9 Jr. Nicole Armstrong, 5-5 Jr. Kristina Rosen, 6-2 Sr. Brooke Todd, 5-4 Sr. ShaKeema Jackson, and 5-4 So. Ezzy Ighodaro.  Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 6-0 Sr. Sarah Cooley, 5-11 Jr. Dee Givens, 6-4 Jr. Ashanti Thomas, 5-8 Sr. Ken’yale Demus, and 5-11 Fr. Kiara Pankins.

Paul Laurence Dunbar led 24-23 at halftime but Lafayette rallied in the second half to earn the championship with a 53-40 victory.  Dunbar only shot 19.2% from the field in the second half.  There were four ties and four lead changes in the game.  Lafayette shot 37% from the field including three of 14 from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on 16 of 20 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 10 Dunbar turnovers.  Dunbar shot 31.3% from the field including four of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Bulldogs connected on six of seven free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored three points off six Lafayette turnovers.

Kaiara Pankins led Lafayette with 25 points including three three point baskets.  Dee Givens added 15 points and five rebounds.  Sarah Cooley recorded nine points and 13 rebounds.

Brooke Todd led Dunbar with 13 points, 14 rebounds, and two blocked shots.  ShaKeema Jackson added 12 points.  Ezzy Ighodaro chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets.
