Lexington Catholic raced out to a 36-0 first quarter lead on their way to a 43-14 victory over Allen County-Scottsville. Lexington Catholic recorded 13 first down and 245 yards of total offense. The Knights were penalized 10 times for 108 yards, lost a fumble, and had one pass intercepted. Allen County-Scottsville recorded seven first downs and 164 yards of total offense. They were penalized once for five yards and lost four fumbles.
Jaylen Jones led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 103 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. Reese Ryan completed 10 of 13 passes for 91 yards and three touchdowns. Connor O'Neil caught three passes for 19 yards. JJ Ogbogu added two receptions for 31 yards and a touchdown. Cody Mitchell led the defense with six solo tackles. Chase Boling added two solo and four assisted tackles and scored on a 15 yard fumble recovery. Braxton Couch and Davis Rowady also recorded fumble recoveries.
Ty Mutter led Allen County-Scottsville’s ground game with 32 yards on three carries. Chase Wilson completed four of eight passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns. Jordan Moss caught two passes for 82 yards and a touchdown. Jack Ward caught a 30 yard touchdown pass. Hunter Williams led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards. Bradley Hayes added five solo and one assisted tackles. Brian Coffee recorded two solo tackles which resulted in losses totaling six yards.
