This was a very challenging opening week as a result of extremely hot conditions, heavy rains, and lightning delays, postponements, and cancellations.
Friday August 22nd
Danville 47 Russell County 14 (Forcht Bank Bowl) – Ray Bradshaw carried the ball 18 times for 172 yards and Damani Del Rosario added 77 yards and three touchdowns on 11 carries to lead Danville tonight.
Boyle County 14 Bullitt East 6 (PBK Death Valley Bowl) – Chuck Smith notches his first victory in his return as the head man of the Rebels.
Frankfort 34 Lincoln County 14 (PBK Death Valley Bowl) – Jalen Washington scored two touchdowns on the ground, caught a touchdown pass, and returned an interception for a touchdown to lead Frankfort.
Pulaski County 39 Corbin 13 (Ray Correll Bowl) – QB Riley Hall completed 14 of 21 passes for 213 yards with three touchdowns and one interception and returned an interception for a touchdown. Jake Johnson caught seven passes for 102 yards and two touchdowns.
Southwestern 38 Somerset 7 (Ray Correll Bowl) – Jordan Doan carried the ball 13 times for 107 yards and two touchdowns to lead Southwestern.
Caldwell County 78 Christian County 57 – QB Elijah Sindelar completed 27 of 42 passes for 433 yards and five touchdowns to lead the victors.
Madison Southern 24 Rockcastle County 7 – This game was called at halftime due to lightning. Damien Harris carried the ball seven times for 123 yards including touchdown runs of 75 and 56 yards.
Warren Central 54 Hopkinsville 16 (Russell Rivals Bowl) – QB Chance Shanklin completed 10 of 15 passes for 158 yards and three touchdowns with one interception to give Howard Feggins a win in his coaching debut at Warren Central.
Ensworth (TN) 21 Louisville Trinity 14 – QB PJ Settles completed 12 of 15 passes for 181 yards and two touchdowns to lead Ensworth.
Greenup County 15 Lewis County 12 – Ryan Byrd carried the ball 16 times for 157 yards to lead Greenup County but So. Jake Wright ran 24 yards for the winning score with 5:36 left on the clock.

Lexington Catholic 43 Allen County-Scottsville 14 (Rafferty’s Bowl) – QB Reese Ryan completed 10 of 13 passes for 91 yards and three touchdowns to lead Lexington Catholic.
Bryan Station 56 Harlan County 22 (Roy Kidd Bowl) – Andre Davis completed six of six passes for 204 yards and five touchdowns to lead Bryan Station.
Murray 28 Madison Central 21 (Roy Kidd Bowl) – DesJahvanni Miles carried the ball 14 times for 141 yards and three touchdowns to lead Murray.
Covington Catholic 39 Boone County 6 – This game was called at halftime due to the heat index. QB Adam Wagner threw for five touchdown passes.
Eastern 40 Jeffersontown 39 OT – Eastern trailed 25-0 at halftime.
Male 49 Floyd Central (IN) 3 – Davis Mattingly threw touchdown passes of 81, 10, and 40 yards and Keion Wakefield caught an 81 yard touchdown pass and scored on a 65 yard punt return.
