The “Gunfight at the Crestwood Corral” resulted in a total of 95 points, 44 first downs, and 1,054 yards as South Oldham sent their fans home happy with a 52-43 victory over Anderson County. South Oldham finally settled the issue with a 32 yard interception return by Connor John with 1:25 seconds left in the game. South Oldham recorded 22 first downs and 565 yards of total offense. They were penalized six times for 52 yards, and lost a fumble. Anderson County recorded 22 first downs and 489 yards of total offense. They were penalized four times for 39 yards and had a pass intercepted.
Kevin Kuriger led South Oldham’s ground game with 230 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries. Michael McGee carried the ball seven times for 114 yards and one touchdown. Adam Clark added 46 yards and two touchdowns on three carries. Michael McGee completed eight of 13 passes for 167 yards. Ethan Reinert caught three passes for 71 yards. Starr Thompson added three receptions for 69 yards. Connor John led the defense with 14 solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards. John also scored on a 32 yard interception return. Joseph Woods added seven solo and three assisted tackles. Nick Bass recorded seven solo and one assisted tackles.
Zach Carmichael led Anderson County’s ground game with 97 yards on 15 carries. Bryndon Labhart added 60 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries. Zach Carmichael completed 12 of 23 passes for 261 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. Brayden Russell caught four passes for 47 yards. Ryan Martin added three catches for 59 yards. Chris Toomey caught two passes for 74 yards and a touchdown. Dusty Puckett added two receptions for 22 yards and one touchdown. Landon Curry caught a 59 yard TD pass. Dusty Puckett led the defense with seven solo and five assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an eight yard loss. Ryan Martin and Bryndon Labhart each recorded five solo and three assisted tackles.
