Dunbar’s ground game averaged 9.5 yards per carry on 42 carries (400 yards) in a 38-6 victory over Woodford County. Dunbar recorded 15 first downs and 402 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs were penalized seven times for 51 yards. Woodford County recorded 14 first downs and 214 yards of total offense. The Yellow Jackets were penalized once for five yards and had a pass intercepted.
Jay Coleman led Dunbar’s ground game with 245 yards and three touchdowns on 12 carries. Nate Gay carried the ball 11 times for 71 yards and a touchdown. Kendall Roberts completed one of two passes for two yards. Maurice Carter caught one pass for two yards. LaQuan Taylor led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles. Dontell Brown added three solo and six assisted tackles. LaDarrius Morton recorded three solo and five assisted tackles. DeRante Sanders added one solo and nine assisted tackles.
Stan Jones led Woodford County’s ground game with 56 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. Emir Bernabe carried the ball nine times for 54 yards. Trey Thurman completed two of eight passes for 23 yards with one interception. Nate Beavers caught one pass for six yards. Ben Smart led the defense with five solo and five assisted tackles. Coleman Sparks added six solo and one assisted tackles.
