George Rogers Clark defeated Tates Creek by a score of 21-6. Tates Creek scored their only touchdown on the last play of the game. GRC recorded 17 first downs and 294 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized 10 times for 83 yards. Tates Creek recorded 12 first downs and 279 yards of total offense. The Commodores were penalized once for 10 yards and lost two fumbles.
Elijah Farris led GRC’s ground attack with 54 yards on 12 carries. Luke Sharrock carried the ball 12 times for 49 yards and a touchdown. Josiah Israel added 35 yards on four carries. Luke Sharrock completed 13 of 24 passes for 139 yards and two touchdowns. Malachi Israel caught three passes for 30 yards and a touchdown. DJ Clingham added three receptions for 25 yards. Ohmante Jenkins caught two passes for 30 yards. Shawn Willhite led the defense with five solo tackles. Malachi Israel added three solo and one assisted tackles. DJ Clingham also recorded three solo and one assisted tackles. Luke Cockerham added two solo and three assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 17 yards. Daniel Chandler recovered two fumbles.
Jaren Shelby led Tates Creek’s ground game with 59 yards on 10 carries. Max Sweet carried the ball five times for 54 yards. Martavius Carter carried the ball once for 45 yards. Graham Gordon completed 13 of 17 passes for 145 yards and one touchdown. Jackson Beerman caught four passes for 58 yards and a touchdown. Austin Rogers added four receptions for 22 yards. Drew Ransdell caught three passes for 42 yards. Sakima Opsal led the defense with 12 solo and four assisted tackles. Jerrod Martin added seven solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards.
