Nelson County vs. Elizabethtown (Girls)

Nelson County coach Kelly Wood started the following lineup: 5-10 So. Kia Harman, 5-7 So. Madison Higgs, 5-10 Jr. Brooklyn Greer, 5-4 Jr. Lakin Walls, and 5-6 So. Le Asia Linton.  Elizabethtown coach Tim Mudd countered with 6-2 Jr. Erin Boley, 5-8 Sr. Darien Huff, 6-2 Sr. Reauna Cleaver, 5-7 Jr. Rachel Warden, and 5-9 Sr. Livie Bowling.

Elizabethtown raced out to a 27-0 first quarter lead on their way to a 72-21 victory over Nelson County.  Elizabethtown shot 56.9% from the field including four of 11 from the three point line.  The Lady Panthers connected on 10 of 18 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 19 Nelson County turnovers.  Nelson County shot 19.4% from the field including two of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cardinals connected on five of 10 free throws, pulled down 17 rebounds, and scored four points off 12 Elizabethtown turnovers.

Erin Boley led Elizabethtown with 17 points, 13 rebounds, and three steals.  Darien Huff added 14 points.  5-9 So. Taylor Thomas chipped in with 12 points.  Rachel Warden recorded eight points and seven assists.

Madison Higgs led Nelson County with six points on two three point baskets.  5-6 Jr. Taylor Young added four points and four rebounds.
