Scott County vs. Lexington Catholic (Boys)

Scott County coach Billy Hicks started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Isaiah Johnson, 6-2 Sr. Hines Jones, 6-4 So. Cooper Watts, 5-10 Sr. Jamel Banks, and 6-2 Sr. DJ Jenkins.  Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-5 Sr. Tanner Johnson, 6-3 Sr. Reese Ryan, 6-6 Sr. Walker Boothe, 5-10 Sr. Michael Talbott, and 6-2 Sr. Jarod Griffin.

Scott County led 32-23 late in the second quarter and 45-42 after three quarters but Lexington Catholic rallied for a 62-54 victory.  Lexington Catholic shot 40% from the field including two of 12 from the three point line.  The Knights connected on 24 of 30 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 12 Scott County turnovers.  Scott County shot 42.2% from the field including five of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Cardinals connected on 11 of 18 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 13 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

Reese Ryan led Lexington Catholic with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists.  Tanner Johnson added 15 points, five rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Jarod Griffin chipped in with 11 points.

DJ Jenkins led Scott County with 21 points.  6-0 Sr. Clarion Washington added 11 points including three three point baskets.
