Eastern coach Josh Leslie started the following lineup: 5-8 Jr. Markeia Porter, 5-7 Fr. Alexis Smith, 5-10 So. Natalie Collins, 5-3 So. Daijia Stafford, and 5-7 Jr. Shavia Thompson.  Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 5-10 Fr. Grace Berger, 5-7 Fr. Kia Sivils, 5-10 Jr. Lydia Taylor, 5-4 Sr. Ashley Johnson, and 5-7 Jr. Meghan Colley.

Shavia Thompson hit a three point basket with a little more than three seconds remaining on the clock to give Eastern a 55-53 victory over Sacred Heart Academy.  Sacred Heart led 35-28 in the third quarter and there were 15 lead changes and 15 ties in this game.  Eastern shot 29.8% from the field including five of 18 from the three point line.  The Lady Eagles connected on 16 of 29 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 17 Sacred Heart turnovers.  Sacred Heart shot 43.6% from the field including four of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Valkyries connected on 15 of 27 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 13 Eastern turnovers.

Markeia Porter led Eastern with 13 points and 17 rebounds.  Natalie Collins added 15 points including three three point baskets.  Daijia Stafford chipped in with 11 points.  Shavia Thompson recorded nine points and five steals. 

Ashley Johnson added Sacred Heart with 13 points and seven rebounds.  Kia Sivils added 12 points and seven rebounds.  Grace Berger recorded 10 points and five rebounds.
