Lexington Catholic’s coach Scott True started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Rachel Blake, 5-7 Jr. Caroline Osbourn, 5-9 Sr. Caroline Lynch, 5-5 Sr. Bailey Browning, and 5-9 Jr. Sarah Bonn. Bishop Brossart coach Josh Feldmann countered with 5-10 Jr. Sydney Shannon, 5-10 Jr. Abby King, 6-0 Jr. Emily Schultz, 5-6 Jr. Olivia Nienaber, and 5-6 Sr. Elizabeth Buckingham.
Lexington Catholic defeated Bishop Brossart by a score of 49-37. Lexington Catholic shot 40% from the field including six of 18 from the three point line. The Lady Knights connected on 11 of 21 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 14 Bishop Brossart turnovers. Bishop Brossart shot 33.3% from the field including three of 17 from beyond the arc. The Lady Stangs connected on four of nine free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 12 Lexington Catholic turnovers.
Rachel Blake led Lexington Catholic with 14 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Sarah Bonn added 12 points and five rebounds. Caroline Lynch chipped in with 10 points and five rebounds. Caroline Osbourn recorded six points and eight rebounds.
Emily Schultz led Bishop Brossart with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and three steals. Abby King added nine points on three three point baskets.
