Sayre coach Rob Goodman started the following lineup: 6-3 So. Jake Duby, 6-2 Jr. Jack Henderson, 6-7 Sr. Quinn Pergande, 5-11 So. Robbie Goodman, and 6-3 Sr. Alex Webb.  Atherton coach Mark Tudor countered with 6-2 Sr. Brady Schmitt, 6-0 Jr. Darren Davidson, 6-2 Sr. William Rainey, 5-5 Fr. Noah Webber, and 5-11 Sr. Ryan Daves.

Sayre defeated Atherton by a score of 59-56.  There were seven lead changes and 13 ties in this game.  Sayre shot 48.9% from the field including three of 17 from the three point line.  The Spartans connected on 10 of 11 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 20 Atherton turnovers.  Atherton shot 38.8% from the field including three of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Rebels connected on 15 of 17 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 18 Sayre turnovers.

Jake Duby led Sayre with 23 points including seven of seven free throws and seven rebounds.  Jack Henderson added 11 points.  Quinn Pergande recorded eight points and four rebounds.

William Rainey led Atherton with 24 points including eight of nine free throws and seven rebounds.  Ryan Daves added 17 points including two three point baskets.
