Henry Clay coach Eric Sanford started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Kerrigan Davis, 5-6 Sr. Jazmine Richmond, 5-11 Jr. Nakeisha Green, 5-6 Sr. Destiny Carter, and 5-6 Jr. Ta’Laya Lyvers.  Nelson County coach Kelly Wood countered with 5-6 Fr. Marly Walls, 5-7 So. Le’Asia Linton, 5-8 So. Kira Harman, 5-5 So. Shyla Calbert, and 5-6 Sr. Caitlin Hagan.

Nelson County led 49-40 in the final quarter and held off a Henry Clay rally to earn a 57-55 victory.  There were nine lead changes and six ties in the game.  Nelson County shot 375 from the field including three of seven from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 34 of 46 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 21 Henry Clay turnovers.  Henry Clay shot 36.7% from the field including 16 of 26 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 24 nelson County turnovers.

Shyla Calbert led Nelson County with 15 points including 11 of 12 free throws.  Kira Harman added 13 points including seven of 11 free throws and nine rebounds.  Le’Asia Linton recorded seven points and eight rebounds.

T’Laya Lyvers led Henry Clay with 12 points, 12 rebounds, and six steals.  Kerrigan Davis added 10 points and five rebounds.  Jazmine Richmond chipped in with eight points.
