Bryan Station coach Tommy Johnson started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Tequan Claitt, 6-2 Jr. Tim Dunn, 6-8 Sr. Chase Caldwell, 6-0 Jr. Andre Davis, and 6-0 Sr. Joshua Owsley. Pleasure Ridge Park coach Dale Mabrey countered with 6-5 Sr. Richard Gaines, 6-1 Sr. Greg Davidson, 6-3 Sr. Drew Glass, 6-0 Sr. Khalid Raheem, and 6-0 Jr. Hunter Stevenson.
PRP raced out to a 44-19 lead late in the second quarter but had to withstand a furious Bryan Station rally to earn an 86-82 victory. PRP shot 58.8% from the field including nine of 19 from the three point line. The Panthers connected on 17 of 26 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 14 Bryan Station turnovers. Bryan Station shot 41.6% from the field including five of 26 from beyond the arc. The defenders connected on 13 of 18 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 28 points off 22 PRP turnovers. Bryan Station attempted 26 more shots (77-51) from the field than PRP and held a 22-6 advantage in second effort points.
Richard Gaines led PRP with 22 points and 15 rebounds. Khalid Raheem added 18 points and five rebounds. 6-2 Jr. Brandon Cranford chipped in with 15 points. Greg Davidson recorded 12 points.
6-5 Jr. Deandre Dishman led Bryan Station with 25 points and eight rebounds. Dishman was nine of 10 from the field and seven of nine from the free throw line. Joshua Owsley, Andre Davis, and 6-0 Sr. CJ Walker added 14, 13, and 13 points respectively. Tequan Claitt recorded eight points, six rebounds, two assists, and three steals.
