Paul Laurence Dunbar coach Scott Chalk started the following lineup: 6-4 Jr. Darius Williams, 6-3 Jr. Justin Kelley, 6-5 Jr. Jacob Herrin, 6-0 Jr. Jordan Lewis, and 6-2 So. Taveion Hollingsworth. Lexington Christian Academy coach Nate Valentine countered with 6-7 Sr. Matt Rose, 6-5 8th Grade Kyle Rode, 6-6 So. Tre King, 5-10 Sr. Joe Davis, and 6-0 Sr. John Stein.
Dunbar led 24-20 at halftime but LCA rallied in the second half to earn a 60-51 victory. LCA shot 41-7% from the field including five of 12 from the three point line. The Eagles connected on 25 of 29 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 14 Dunbar turnovers. Dunbar shot 36.6% from the field including two of eight from beyond the arc. The Bulldogs connected on 19 of 24 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 21 LCA turnovers.
6-8 Sr. Drew Trinble led LCA with 23 points including 12 of 15 free throws and seven rebounds. Matt Rose added 21 points including 12 of 12 free throws and eight rebounds. Tre King also pulled down eight rebounds. Joe Davis recorded nine points on three three point baskets.
Darius Williams led Dunbar with 20 points including eight of 11 from the free throw line. Taveion Hollingsworth added 14 points.
