Eastern Kentucky University coach Jeff Neubauer started the following lineup: 6-7 Sr. Timmy Knipp, 6-5 Jr. Denzel Richardson, 6-8 Sr. Eric Stutz, 6-2 Sr. Corey Walden, and 6-2 So. Isaac McGlone. Tennessee-Martin coach Heath Schroyer countered with 6-6 Jr. Twymond Howard, 6-3 Sr. Marshun Newell, 6-7 So. Javier Martinez, 5-11 Jr. Alex Anderson, and 6-0 Sr. Deville Smith.
Tennessee-Martin led by eight points with 12:30 left in the game but Eastern Kentucky rallied for a 66-58 victory. The score was tied six times and there were eight lead changes in the game. Tennessee-Martin led for 27:36 of the game. Eastern Kentucky’s Eric Stutz reaches a milestone tonight as he scored his 1,000th career point as a Colonel.

Tennessee-Martin shot 40.8% from the field including five of 21 from beyond the arc. The Skyhawks connected on 13 of 19 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored four points off five Eastern Kentucky turnovers.
Corey Walden led EKU with 21 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Denzel Richardson added 14 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists. Timmy Knipp chipped in with 14 points including seven of eight free throws. Eric Stutz recorded 13 points and six rebounds.
Javier Martinez led Tennessee-Martin with 17 points and eight rebounds. Martinez was six of six from the field and five of six from the free throw line. Deville Smith added 12 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Marshun Newell recorded 11 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists.
