Scott County vs. Simon Kenton (Girls)

Scott County coach Steve Helton started the following lineup: 5-10 So. Lauren Boehm, 5-7 8th Grade Maaliya Owens, 5-10 Fr. Sidney Southerland, 5-3 8th Grade Juliette Smith, and 5-6 Fr. Peyton Riddle.  Simon Kenton coach Jeffrey Stowers countered with 5-8 Fr. Ally Niece, 5-8 Sr. Maggi Bosse, 6-1 So. Madi Meier, 5-4 So. Kendyl Gilliam, and 5-7 Sr. Kelsey Schmaide.

Simon Kenton defeated Scott County by a score of 61-55.  The score was tied five times and there were 10 lead changes in this game.  Simon Kenton shot 41.7% from the field including one of eight from the three point line.  The Lady Pioneers connected on 20 of 29 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 17 Scott County turnovers.  Scott County shot 35.2% from the field including five of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 12 of 22 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 10 points off nine Simon Kenton turnovers.

Ally Niece led Simon Kenton with 24 points including nine of 10 free throws and five assists.  Maggi Bosse added 16 points including six of six free throws.  Madi Meier recorded 14 points and seven rebounds.

Peyton Riddle led Scott County with 14 points including two three point baskets.  Lauren Boehm added eight points and eight rebounds.  Sidney Southerland also scored eight points and pulled down six rebounds.
