Clay County coach James Burchell started the following lineup: 5-9 Jr. Kelli Roberts, 5-7 Jr. Kashia Jackson, 6-0 Sr. Courtney Woods, 5-5 7th Grade Kaylee Mathis, and 5-5 Sr. Ajaycia Cotton. Scott County coach Steve Helton countered with 5-10 So. Lauren Boehm, 5-7 8th Grade Maaliya Owens, 5-10 Fr. Sidney Southerland, 5-3 8th Grade Juliette Smith, and 5-6 Fr. Peyton Riddle.
Scott County held a 20-4 advantage in second chance points on their way to a 75-70 victory over a good Clay County team. Scott County shot 42.6% from the field including three of 18 from the three point line. The Lady Cardinals connected on 26 of 33 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 12 points off nine Clay County turnovers. Clay County shot 54.3% from the field including six of 14 from beyond the arc. The Lady Tigers connected on 14 of 23 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 11 Scott County turnovers.
Peyton Riddle led a balanced Scott County attack with 16 points including 12 of 14 free throws and five assists. Sidney Southerland added 15 points and eight rebounds. Lauren Boehm recorded 14 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Juliette Smith chipped in with 13 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.
Ajaycia Cotton led Clay County with 37 points, four rebounds, and five assists. Kelli Roberts added 13 points, four rebounds, and four assists. Courtney Woods chipped in with eight points and five rebounds.
