Henderson County coach Tyler Smithhart started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. David Simmons, 6-1 Sr. Bryce Crowley, 6-8 Sr. Andrew Mattingly, 6-0 Sr. DJ Washington, and 6-2 Sr. Brady Norman. Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-5 Sr. Tanner Johnson, 6-3 Sr. Reese Ryan, 6-5 Sr. Walker Boothe, 5-10 Sr. Michael Talbott, and 6-2 Sr. Jarod Griffin.
Henderson County defeated Lexington Catholic by a score of 64-56. Henderson County shot 52.1% from the field including one of nine from the three point line. The Colonels connected on 13 of 18 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 10 Lexington Catholic turnovers. Lexington Catholic shot 43.8% from the field including three of 14 from beyond the arc. The Knights connected on 11 of 13 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 13 Henderson County turnovers.
David Simmons led Henderson County with 23 points including nine of 12 free throws, five rebounds, and four assists. Brady Norman added 14 points. DJ Washington recorded 10 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists.
Tanner Johnson led Lexington Catholic with 20 points and three steals. Michael Talbott added 10 points and four rebounds. 6-4 Jr. Joseph Ogbogu and 5-11 Jr. Donovan Morris chipped in with eight and six points respectively.
