Christ Presbyterian coach Drew Maddux started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Sam Johnson, 6-3 Sr. Micah Davis, 6-8 Jr. Braxton Blackwell, 5-9 8th Grade Tyger Campbell, and 6-2 Jr. Evan Ragsdsale. Doss coach Tony Williams countered with 6-5 So. Jaylon Hall, 6-3 Sr. Terell Gray, 6-5 So. Ramon Collins, 5-9 Sr. Dujuanta Weaver, and 5-10 Sr. Dajon McCarley.
The score was tied 40-40 at halftime but Doss pulled away in the second half to earn an 80-71 victory over Christ Presbyterian. Doss shot 57.1% from the field including 10 of 21 from the three point line. The Dragons connected on 14 of 19 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 10 Christ Presbyterian turnovers. Christ Presbyterian shot 51% from the field including 12 of 27 from beyond the arc. The Lions connected on seven of 14 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 11 Doss turnovers.
5-10 Jr. Nick Anderson led a balanced Doss attack with 16 points including four three point baskets. Dajon McCarley added 13 points including three three point baskets, seven rebounds, and four assists. Terell Gray recorded 12 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists. Dujuanta Weaver also scored 12 points and recorded three steals. Jaylon Hall and Ramon Collins each recorded 10 points.
Braxton Blackwell led Christ Presbyterian with 27 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and two blocked shots. Tyger Campbell added 17 points including three three point baskets and six assists. Micah Davis recorded 15 points on five three point baskets.
