Trinity coach Mike Szabo started the following lineup; 6-5 Sr. Christian Thieneman, 6-4 Sr. Daniel Ramser, 6-10 Sr. Raymond Spalding, 6-2 Sr. D’Angelo West, and 6-3 Sr. Michael Stafford. Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III countered with 6-2 Sr. Lucky Jackson, 5-10 Jr. Jaelin Jenkins, 6-6 Jr. Ross Jenkins, 5-10 So. Jajuante Carpenter, and 6-0 Jr. Harrison Lane.
Ross Jenkins hit a late field goal to give Lafayette a 56-55 victory over Trinity. The score was tied four times and there were four lead changes in this game. Lafayette shot 59.5% from the field including 10 of 21 from the three point line. The Generals connected on two of six free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored nine points off 11 Trinity turnovers. Trinity shot 44.2% from the field including three of 13 from beyond the arc. The Shamrocks connected on 14 of 18 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 15 Lafayette turnovers.
Harrison Lane led Lafayette with 16 points including four three point baskets and four rebounds. Lucky Jackson added nine points, five rebounds, and four assists. 5-9 Jr. TJ Downey also scored nine points on three three point baskets. Ross Jenkins and Jajuante Carpenter chipped in with eight and seven points respectively.
Raymond Spalding led Trinity with 26 points, six rebounds, and three steals. Spalding was 11 of 14 from the field and four of six from the free throw line. Daniel Ramser added 12 points including two three point baskets. 6-6 Sr. Jax Levitch recorded five points and eight rebounds. Michael Stafford chipped in with five points and five rebounds.
