Henry Clay coach Eric Sanford started the following lineup: 5-11 Jr. Nakeisha Green, 5-8 Jr. Anovia Byars, 6-1 Sr. Hannah Young, 5-6 Jr. T’Laya Lyvers, and 5-6 Sr. Destiny Carter.  Sayre coach Scotty Sutton countered with 5-6 Fr. Dee Dee Wheeler, 5-4 So. Ellie Alford, 6-3 Sr. Gabby Bowie, 5-2 Jr. Hannah Brady, and 5-4 Sr. Meg Croney-Clark.

Henry Clay defeated Sayre by a score of 50-33.  Henry Clay shot 37.5% from the field including two of five from the three point line.  The Lady Blue Devils connected on six of 12 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 34 Sayre turnovers.  Sayre shot 40% from the field including zero of three from beyond the arc.  The Lady Spartans connected on nine of 15 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 20 Henry Clay turnovers.

Hannah Young led Henry Clay with 13 points, nine rebounds, two blocked shots, and four steals.  Destiny Carter added eight points, three rebounds, and five assists.  Nakeisha Green chipped in with five points, five rebounds, and three steals.

Gabby Bowie led Sayre with 19 points, seven rebounds, and six blocked shots.  Ellie Alford added four points, two rebounds, two assists, and three steals.
