Barren County coach Warren Cunningham started the following lineup: 6-4 Sr. Kaleb England, 6-3 Jr. Wade Coomer, 6-8 Sr. Sawyers Matthews, 5-7 Sr. Jacob Jones, and 6-0 Jr. Nick Mabe. Monroe County coach Steven Kirkpatrick countered with 6-0 Sr. Gibril Summers, 6-0 Sr. Skyler Geralds. 6-3 Sr. Dillon Geralds, 5-10 Jr. John Geralds, and 5-11 Jr. Lincoln Arnett.
Monroe County defeated Barren County by a score of 61-48. Mason County shot 51.2% from the field including five of 12 from the three point line. The Falcons connected on 14 of 19 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 12 Barren County turnovers. Barren County shot 39.1% from the field including seven of 20 from beyond the arc. The Trojans connected on five of five free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored nine points off five Monroe County turnovers.
Gibril Summers led Monroe County with 27 points including three three point baskets. Summers was 10 of 13 from the field including three of four from beyond the arc, and four of four free throws. Dillon Geralds added 16 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, and three steals. Skyler Geralds chipped in with 11 points, four rebounds, and five assists.
Wade Coomer led Barren County with 17 points including five three point baskets, 11 rebounds, and two blocked shots. Nick Mabe added 14 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and four assists.
