Week Two in Review September 4-5, 2015
Friday September 4th
Trinity 70 Lafayette 14 – Rodjay Burns caught six passes for 105 yards and four touchdowns and also scored on an 82 yard punt return to lead Trinity. Jailen Reed carried the ball 14 times for 163 yards and three touchdowns to spearhead the Shamrocks ground game. QB Jacob Woosley completed 14 of 16 passes for 201 yards and four touchdowns. Lafayette’s scores came on kickoff returns of 97 and 98 yards by Mason Alstatt.
Johnson Central 42 Lexington Catholic 28 – Conner Ratliff (13 carries for 113 yards and two touchdowns), Bryce Skaggs (11 carries for 111 yards and one touchdown), and Brice Workman (16 carries for 107 yards and one touchdown) led Johnson Central to victory.
Scott County 54 Highlands 28 – Scott County raced out to a 40-0 halftime lead on their way to victory. Josh Davis completed seven of seven passes for 140 yards and a touchdown and carried the ball once for a 52 yard touchdown run.
Henry Clay 35 George Rogers Clark 13 – Game called with 3:53 remaining due to lightning. Davonte Robinson carried the ball four times for 128 yards and two touchdowns and Austin Bledsoe added 126 yards on 13 carries to lead the Blue Devils. Josiah Israel carried the ball 27 times for 176 yards and one touchdown to lead GRC.
Bryan Station 36 Cooper 0 – Game called with 24 seconds left in the third quarter due to weather. Andre Davis completed 11 of 20 passes for 141 yards and two touchdowns and carried the ball 14 times for 124 yards and three touchdowns.
Tates Creek 42 Paul Laurence Dunbar 29 – Peyton Burke completed 15 of 26 passes for 247 yards and five touchdowns and Sakima Opsal recorded 13 solo and three assisted tackles to pace the victors.
Lexington Christian Academy 21 Green County 6 – Called at halftime due to weather conditions. Brayden Miller completed seven of 11 passes for 130 yards and one touchdown.
Madison Central 52 Bourbon County 28 – Johan Williams carried the ball 20 times for 174 yards and three touchdowns to lead Madison Central.
Anderson County 55 Mercer County 14 – Brydon Labhart carried the ball 20 times for 104 yards and three touchdowns and Gunner Gillis completed six of 12 passes for 223 yards and four touchdowns.
Hopkinsville 50 Ft. Campbell 7 – Jalen Johnson passed for 160 yards and three touchdowns for Hopkinsville.
Ashland 26 George Washington (WV) 25 – Ashland stopped a two point conversion attempt to earn the victory Quinton Baker carried the ball 31 times for 240 yards. George Washington star Druw Bowen caught for passes for 200 yards and three touchdowns.
Beechwood 48 Somerset 14 – Ethan Stringer carried the ball 28 times for 246 yards and four touchdowns.
Boyle County 42 Danville 20 – Josiah Robbins completed 19 of 31 passes for 407 yards and four touchdowns.
Bell County 60 Pike County Central 36 – Treyton Humfleet carried the ball 20 times for 194 yards and seven touchdowns.
Caldwell County 49 North Hardin 35 – Dee Cain carried the ball 11 times for 87 yards and three touchdowns to lead Caldwell County. North Hardin was led by Taven Graves who carried the ball 22 times for 212 yards and two touchdowns.
Elizabethtown 38 North Oldham 0 – Berneil Cecil carried the ball 10 times for 241 yards and three touchdowns.
Estill County 49 Frankfort 39 – Kordel Day carried the ball 24 times for 240 yards and three touchdowns to lead Estill County.
Garrard County 36 Lincoln County 29 – Mike Redmon led Garrard County with 159 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.
Glasgow 34 Barren County 15 – Dessi Austin passed for 248 yards and four touchdowns.
Male 64 Fairdale 6 – Omar Stallworth carried the ball 15 times for 109 yards and three touchdowns.
McCracken County 54 Madisonville-North Hopkins 14 – Cash Jones threw for 279 yards and four touchdowns.
Owensboro 35 Owensboro Catholic 28 – Landon Board carried the ball 17 times for 120 yards and two touchdowns to lead the victors. Ray Zuberer completed 26 of 48 passes for 289 yards and four touchdowns to lead Owensboro Catholic.
Paintsville 23 Pikeville 22 (OT) – Kash Daniel ran for a two point conversion to give Paintsville the victory.
St. Xavier 45 Bowling Green 19 – Blake Roshkowski ran for two touchdowns , scored on a 67 punt return and a 99 yard kickoff return.

Southwestern 26 Knox Central 15 – Patric Edwards ran for 110 yards and had 34 receiving yards to lead Southwestern.
Simon Kenton 54 Conner 0 – Dillion Powell carried the ball 13 times for 184 yards and two touchdowns.
