St. Xavier’s defense forced five turnovers tonight and earned a big 45-19 victory over Bowling Green.  St. Xavier recorded 18 first downs and 363 yards of total offense.  The Tigers were penalized three times for 19 yards, lost a fumble and had two passes intercepted.  Bowling Green recorded 26 first downs and 382 yards of total offense.  The Purples were penalized twice for 20 yards, lost four fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

S. Taylor led St. Xavier’s ground game with 99 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries.  B. Roshkowski carried the ball four times for 61 yards and two touchdowns.  D. Ridder carried the ball five times for 16 yards and a touchdown.  D. Ridder completed 10 of 15 passes for 175 yards with two interceptions.  C. Clements caught three passes for 102 yards.  C. O’Daniel added two receptions for 45 yards.  B. Roshkowski returned a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown and also scored on a 64 yard punt return.  P. Ritter led the defense with seven solo and two assisted tackles.  L. Butler added four solo and six assisted tackles and recovered two fumbles.

J. Carothers led Bowling Green’s ground game with 72 yards on 13 carries.  C. Payne completed 31 of 44 passes for 316 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  D. Wilson caught 12 passes for 129 yards and a touchdown.  J. Yates added eight receptions for 100 yards.  J. Carothers caught four passes for 57 yards.  D. Halcomb led the defense with two solo and one assisted tackles.  T. Stahl and J. Bush added two solo tackles each.
