Lafayette vs. Madison Central

Madison Central led 14-13 in the second quarter but Lafayette rallied to pull away for a45-28 victory. Lafayette scored 14 unanswered points in the third quarter to take control of the game. Lafayette recorded 18 first downs and 402 yards of total offense. The Generals were penalized six times for 52 yards. Madison Central recorded 16 first downs and 331 yards of total offense. The Indians were penalized four times for 29 yards and lost a fumble.
Mason Alstatt led Lafayette’s ground game with 137 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. Walker Wood carried the ball 12 times for 53 yards and two touchdowns. Matthew Silvestri added 45 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Walker Wood completed 16 of 23 passes for 161 yards and a touchdown. Quinten Brown caught six passes for 76 yards. Matthew Guilfoil added three receptions for 47 yards. Mason Alstatt also caught a seven yard touchdown pass. Alstatt also scored on a 99 yard kickoff return. Javarus Blair and Jordan Thomas each recorded five solo and two assisted tackles on defense. Daquis Sharp added four solo and three assisted tackles.
Johan Williams led Madison Central’s ground game with 120 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. Jabari Huguely carried the ball nine times for 73 yards. Keenan Miller added 41 yards on four carries. Zach Hardin completed five of 14 passes for 80 yards and two touchdowns. Keenan Miller caught two passes for 48 yards and a touchdown. Lawrence Lee Jr. added two receptions for 24 yards and a touchdown. KJ Long led the defense with five solo and five assisted tackles. Korrion Crier added two solo and eight assisted tackles. Tristan Moorehead recorded four solo and three assisted tackles. Jabari Huguely added three solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an 18 yard loss.
