Bryan Station vs. Scott County

Scott County defeated Bryan Station by a score of 40-24 tonight in a game that for injuries resembled a M.A.S.H. unit. Bryan Station QB Andre Davis returned tonight after being out last week with an injury. Star Scott County RB Keith Guy went out early with an injury and Bryan Station lost versatile star Devon Key early with an injury. FB Noah Hughes picked up the slack for Scott County running behind an impressive offensive line ran for 242 yards and three touchdowns on 36 carries. Scott County recorded 22 first downs and 387 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized nine times for 77 yards and lost a fumble. Bryan Station recorded 14 first downs and 276 yards of total offense. The Defenders were penalized 10 times for 141 yards and had a pass intercepted.
Noah Hughes led Scott County’s ground game with 242 yards and three touchdowns on 36 carries. Kendrick Hamilton carried the ball 13 times for 64 yards. Josh Davis completed two of five passes for 35 yards and a touchdown. Glenn Covington caught one pass for 26 yards. Simon Bond added a nine yard scoring reception. Tyler Braxton led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles with four of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 29 yards. Cooper Robb added four solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass. Keeshon Brent also recorded four solo and one assisted tackles.
Andre Davis led Bryan Station’s ground game with 73 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries. Andre Davis completed 18 of 27 passes for 199 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. K-CI Carmichael caught six passes for 34 yards and a touchdown. Rafael Few added four receptions for 26 yards and a touchdown. Mahari Sturgis caught three passes for 64 yards. Desmond Bernard recorded three receptions for 46 yards. Romel Croley led the defense with six solo and seven assisted tackles. Shane Preston added five solo and eight assisted tackles. James Bryant recorded six solo and four assisted tackles.
