Andy Thompson threw for six touchdowns tonight as Lexington Catholic defeated Garrard County by a score of 59-26. Lexington Catholic recorded 20 first downs and 508 yards of total offense. The Knights were penalized six times for 62 yards. Garrard County recorded 19 first downs and 302 yards of total offense. The Golden Lions were penalized four times for 50 yards.
Jaylen Jones led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 79 yards on 13 carries. Andy Thompson carried the ball eight times for 53 yards. Andy Thompson completed 10 of 11 passes for 317 yards and six touchdowns. Donovan Morris caught four passes for 193 yards and three touchdowns. JJ Ogbogu added four receptions for 90 yards and two touchdowns. Chris Thompson caught two passes for 34 yards and a touchdown. Sid Sharp led the defense with 10 solo tackles. Jack Fagot added six solo and one assisted tackles. Eric Foster recorded four solo and three assisted tackles and Andy Hickey chipped in with four solo and two assisted tackles.
Devan Logan led Garrard County’s ground game with 131 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries. Jacob Foley carried the ball 20 times for 100 yards. Slade Crutchfield added 33 yards and three touchdowns on eight carries. Slade Crutchfield completed one of three passes for seven yards. Jacob Foley caught one pass for seven yards. Crutchfield punted three times for a 49 yard average with a long kick of 58 yards. Clay Shuey led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles. Jacob Foley added five solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss. D. Morrison recorded four solo and three assisted tackles.
